JOB PURPOSE:

As a Tank Wagon Driver for RKA you will be responsible for making deliveries of petroleum products to customer sites efficiently following all company and mandated protocols.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have CDL – Class A or B
  • Must have HazMat and Tanker Endorsement
  • Must be 21 years old
  • 1+ year(s) successful driving experience preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, hoses and items that weigh 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Strong work ethic and integrity

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with Transportation Specialist to ensure schedules allow for on time deliveries and superior customer service performance by delivering the correct products and quantities.
  • Is responsible for following the safety programs including HAZMAT certifications.
  • Attend regular safety meetings.
  • Maintain a team attitude.
  • Effective communication.
  • You must make use of the proper lifting codes and state destinations when needed. Also, must pull from least cost terminals to ensure maximum profit the Company.
  • Performs truck safety inspections, verification of product loading, and preparation of operational and DOT forms and records
  • Make delivery of bulk petroleum products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all Company operational and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre-and post-trip inspections
  • Communicate customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up
  • Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
